Triund is one of Himachal Pradesh’s most beautiful short Himalayan treks and an ideal introduction to mountain trekking. The trail takes you through quiet pine and oak forests before opening into a vast alpine meadow overlooking the Kangra Valley. Behind you lies the sprawling Kangra Valley, while directly ahead rise the magnificent Dhauladhar mountains. Triund is two days of walking slowly, breathing deeply and remembering what it feels like to be away from everything.
